Do things seem a little odd lately? I would say, hells yeah. I recently started briefly checking out the news, because I was feeling like my Facebook break had me really out of it. Hello, wtf? Is going on?
Exhibit A: The Navy and the Pentagon in general is growing increasingly concerned about UFO's.
Exhibit B: The "lab leak" hypthesis of the origins of COVID is suddenly back in the forefront, even after a March report from the WHO that found that the scenario was "highly unlikely." It's good to see a little bit of pushback, after a few days of people pretty much just assuming the lab leak event was proven, even though there is precisely zero new actual evidence. There's even this idiotic article in The Atlantic. The reasoning in that article is at about a 3rd grade level. Not to insult 3rd graders. Of course, lab safety in virus research is crucial. But let's not be idiots about it.
Exhibit C: Two cases of Havana Syndrome reported from just outside the White House? Man, the more I read about Havana Syndrome last night the creepier and creepier it got.
Meanwhile mass shootings have started up again, in correlation with all of us having the freedom to go outside and kill each other.
I regret checking the news. I think I'll stop, mostly. It really is just surreal right now. It's like a post-modernist novel slowly unfolding in real life.
Here's a nice photograph that has nothing to do with UFO's, lab leaks, or mystery illnesses that cause brain damage.
This is what I miss on FB. The voice of reason. And yes, stop looking at the news.
Ha! I looked at the news AGAIN yesterday and regretted it AGAIN. I only saw the headline about Republicans blocking a Jan 6 inquiry and was angry for like 13 hours.
